Vivo has confirmed the design and key specifications of the upcoming Vivo S2 ahead of its official India debut on August 6, 2026. The phone is built around a sleek, lightweight form factor that aims to balance premium aesthetics without burning a hole in buyers' pockets.
Vivo S2 Design and Key Specs Confirmed
Starting with the design, the Vivo S2 features a thin 7.99 mm profile. The back of the phone is pretty identical to the Vivo X300 FE that launched recently, with a main camera, an LED ring and a relatively clean design. The phone is also confirmed to arrive in Silk White, Sapphire Blue and Regal Bronze colourways.
The front houses an edge-to-edge 6.83-inch 1.5K 3D Curved AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The media-viewing experience is complemented by dual speakers.
Coming to the optics, the Vivo S2 is equipped with a 50 MP primary rear camera utilising a Sony IMX852 sensor. The camera module also integrates Vivo's Aura Light. Both the rear setup and the 32 MP front-facing camera are capable of shooting in 4K resolution, and the device supports Dual View Video for capturing front and rear footage simultaneously.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo processor, which Vivo claims achieves an AnTuTu benchmark score of 970,000. This is paired with a 7,050mAh battery to provide a full day of battery backup.
On the software side, the Vivo S2 will launch running OriginOS 6 out of the box. The operating system brings several new AI-driven features to the device, including Shake and Share, Origin OS AI suite consisting of AI Creation and AI Transcript and Google's Circle to Search 2.0.
To reiterate, the Vivo S2 launch date is set for August 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM. While the brand has yet to reveal the official pricing, previous Vivo S2 price leaks suggest a starting price of Rs 38,000 for the 8 GB + 128 GB variant.
