The Vivo S2 India launch was teased a few days back, marking the comeback of the "Vivo S" series after six long years. Now, the brand has officially revealed when the smartphone will launch and it is happening sooner than expected.
The official Vivo India X account has confirmed that the Vivo S2 will launch in India on August 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST. A Flipkart microsite for the phone confirms its availability and the official Vivo India e-store has also been updated to reflect the details.
We also get our first good look at the front and back design of the phone, officially from the brand. This is on par with the recent Vivo S2 real-life images leak and confirms the presence of a curved display at the front. It is currently unclear whether the panel is quad-curved or side-curved.
The back design is also unique among all the current Vivo phones in India. Vivo S2 features an iPhone Air "inspired" horizontal camera bar with a dual-lens setup and a ring LED light.
Vivo S2 Specifications (Leaked)
While Vivo has shared the official launch date and given us a glimpse of the Vivo S2, the brand is yet to reveal its specs. However, thanks to a recent leak from @LoserAnant, we know that the phone could feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K P-OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,900 nits of peak brightness.
The phone is said to be powered by a Dimensity 7360 Turbo processor (rebadged Dimensity 7300 chipset) and pack a 7,050mAh battery. Vivo S2 could also bring 44W fast charging support.
As for the rest, Vivo S2 could feature a 50 MP Sony IMX-852 main camera, 2 MP secondary lens, 32 MP selfie, Aura Light multi-colour LED and IP68 + IP69 ratings.

Vivo S2 Price in India (Leaked)
Pricing for the Vivo S2 could be interesting, as tipster @saaaanjjjuuu recently revealed that the phone has a box MRP of Rs 66,999. This price is for the base 8 GB + 128 GB model and is expected to actually retail between Rs 40,000 and Rs 45,000.
If true, this will be due to the ongoing RAM crisis and for under Rs 45,000, the Vivo S2 will go head-to-head with the likes of the OnePlus Nord 6 and the Poco X8 Pro Max.
