Vivo's next "V" series smartphone, the Vivo V60, has been teased quite a lot in the past few days. However, Vivo held back on its official announcement date. That changes today, with the brand officially dropping the launch date of the smartphone in India.
The Vivo V60 will officially break cover in the subcontinent on August 12, 2025. This was shared via X by the brand's official social media handle.
The post bears the "The finish, the shine, the design, everything reflects the beauty of Auspicious Gold in the all-new vivo V60," message along with a short nine-second clip revealing the front and back design of the smartphone in its entirety.

Apart from this, the official landing page of the smartphone is also live on the official Vivo India website with some of its key details. It confirms the Auspicious Gold colourway, along with two other options – Moonlit Blue and Mist Gray.
From the design and display front, the smartphone is confirmed to feature a quad curved panel with minimal and even black bezels around. It also bears a single centre-aligned punch-hole selfie camera cutout. It is encased within a slim mid-frame which appears to be made out of plastic.

At the back, the Vivo V60 features a triple camera setup with the main and the telephoto lens housed within a raised pill-shaped vertical camera module. The ultra-wide angle lens is located on the side of the pill-shaped module, with the circular Ring LED flash at the bottom. All three lenses are backed by Zeiss optics, continuing the Vivo-Zeiss partnership for the "V" and "X" lineup of devices.
On that note, the design of the camera module resembles the Vivo X200 FE that launched as the first compact phone from Vivo in India, a while back. It even features a somewhat similar camera specification. For instance, the main sensor on the V60 is a 50 MP Sony IMX766 module with support for OIS. The periscope telephoto lens is a 50 MP Sony IMX882 module with support for up to 100x digital zoom and 100 mm portraits.

Other than that, the selfie camera is also a 50 MP sensor with 92° field of view. The ultra-wide angle lens details are still under wraps at the time of writing.
Vivo has also revealed some of the AI features that are coming to the V60, specifically, camera-centric AI tools. There is an AI Four-Season Portrait option that can change the backdrop of any image with season-based filters like spring, autumn, summer, winter and so on. Also added to the mix is an AI Magic Move option that can reposition the subject in post-processing.

Besides, the smartphone is confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset along with a 6,500mAh battery. It will run on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. This refutes earlier claims that expected the Vivo V60 to be the first Origin OS smartphone in India. It will also bear the IP68 + IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
With that said, since most of the details have already been confirmed, we are now waiting for Vivo to reveal the price of the V60 in India. Current speculation hint at the Rs 40,000 ballpark for the smartphone. However, we believe that the Vivo V60 will start from Rs 40,000 in India.
