Vivo's most anticipated flagship foldable, the Vivo X Fold 6, has finally launched in China. The foldable phone builds on its predecessor, the X Fold 5, and brings a host of new improvements across the board, including cameras, battery, and processor.
Vivo X Fold 6 Specifications and Features
The design of the Vivo X Fold 6 has been greatly improved over its predecessor, with slightly more curved corners, improving the overall ergonomics of the smartphone. Additionally, the back of the phone also sports a bulkier camera module.

Coming to the display, the foldable features an 8.02-inch 120 Hz LTPO AMOLED display on the inside with a 2200 x 2480 pixels of resolution and 5,000 nits of peak brightness. The cover display is a 6.53-inch Full HD+ 120 Hz LTPO AMOLED unit protected by Vivo's 2nd Gen Armour Glass and boasts 5,500 nits of peak brightness.
Performance-wise, the Vivo X Fold 6 ditches Snapdragon for the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset. It's a flagship octa-core processor based on TSMC's 3nm process and uses ARM's latest ARMv9.3-A cores at a maximum clock speed of 4.21 GHz. Graphical duties are handled by a Mali-G1 Ultra MC12. The processor is complemented by up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

Fueling the internals is a massive 7,000mAh battery, paired with 80W fast wired charging, 40W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging. As for the security, there's a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Optics-wise, the Vivo X Fold 6 features a 200 MP Samsung HPB main sensor with an f/1.68 aperture, a 50 MP ultrawide snapper, and a 50 MP Sony LYT-602 3x periscope telephoto with f/2.57 aperture.

The zoom capabilities can be further enhanced thanks to the support for the Zeiss G2 Teleconverter external lens accessory, which can be bought separately. It snaps onto the phone with the kit and can help the phone's 200 MP sensor reach farther distances with up to a 200 mm zoom.
There are two 20 MP front-facing cameras on the Vivo X Fold 6 – one on the internal folding screen, which is an under-display unit, while the other is on the cover screen. Software-wise, the phone runs on Origin OS 6 out of the box, with a promise of 5 years of Android updates and 7 years of security patches.
