Vivo's 2026 Ultra phone, the X300 Ultra is going to launch very soon in China and global markets. It was recently showcased at MWC with a redesigned teleconverter lens and now the brand has revealed more details about the triple rear camera setup the phone will rock.
Vivo X300 Ultra will bring a 50 MP Sony Ultra-wide camera
Vivo's Product Manager, Han Boxiao, has revealed via Weibo that the Vivo X300 Ultra will feature a 50 MP Sony IMX-818 ultra-wide angle camera at the back. It is going to be a 1/1.28-inch sensor with CIPA 6.0 ultra optical stabilisation certification.

It will join the 200 MP Sony LYT-901 1/1.12-inch main camera sensor and the 200 MP Samsung HPB "Thanos" periscope telephoto lens, which the previous Vivo X300 Ultra main camera details post from Boxiao revealed.
He has further added that the ultra-wide lens on the X300 Ultra is the largest in the industry and is designed for pro-grade videography, a signature focus point of Ultra-branded Vivo phones. It is said to offer a higher and enhanced dynamic range, fitted to shoot landscapes and scenarios with a wider field of view.

Moreover, Boxiao has shared the internal cross-section of X300 Ultra from the inside, showcasing the camera placements. It gives us a close look at the top periscope module and the ultra-wide and main cameras at the bottom. Upon launch, the array will be housed inside a large circular camera deco with Zeiss T* lens coating and will support all sensor Zeiss Master Colour calibration for true-to-life colours.
All in all, the Vivo X300 Ultra could potentially become Vivo's best Ultra phone yet and one of the top camera phones of 2026. Also, to match the top-tier camera hardware, the phone was recently showcased at MWC 2026 with a redesigned 400mm teleconverter telephoto lens attachment dubbed the Vivo Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen2 Ultra.

It is also expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and feature a large 6.82-inch 2K LTPO OLED display with a 120 Hz high refresh rate. The X300 Ultra could also pack a big 7,000mAh battery with 100W fast USB-C charging and 40W wireless charging support.
