Vivo has expanded its Y-series lineup in India with the Y31t 5G, a new smartphone focused on long battery life and everyday performance. The Vivo Y31t 5G packs a massive battery, a 120 Hz display and Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, while also offering solid durability.

The Vivo Y31t 5G sports a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 1,250 nits of peak brightness. There's also Wet Touch tech, which makes the screen usable with wet hands.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box.
The camera setup includes a 50 MP primary rear camera alongside a 2 MP bokeh lens. For selfies and video calls, there's an 8 MP front-facing camera. Vivo has also included AI-based camera features such as AI Erase.
The biggest highlight is the 7,200mAh battery, which supports 44W FlashCharge. Vivo claims up to 62 hours of music playback, while an AI Sleep Mode is designed to help extend battery life.

With its unusually large battery, 120 Hz display and IP68/IP69 protection, the Y31t 5G is clearly aimed at users who prioritise endurance and durability over a more powerful chipset or higher-resolution display. However, it will certainly face some tough competition from phones like the OnePlus N6 and Vivo T5x.
