Vivo has quietly expanded its Y-series lineup by launching a new budget smartphone in China called the Vivo Y37+. It is designed for buyers looking for an affordable smartphone which focuses on battery longevity, without breaking the bank.
Vivo Y37+ Specifications and Features
Durability and longevity are the key selling points of the smartphone. It boasts SGS drop protection with a massive 6,000mAh battery. Vivo rates it to last five-years. There's a side-mounted fingerprint scanner alongside an IR blaster. Running the show underneath is the trusty and affordable 5G chipset, the Dimensity 6300.

It is paired with 8 GB RAM and up to 256 GB onboard storage. Unfortunately, the smartphone runs an older version of OriginOS (15) based on Android 15. Vivo surprisingly includes NFC and a 3.5mm headphone jack, which are rare for the price. Here are the complete specifications:
- 6.74-inch LCD (1600 x 720), 90Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits brightness
- MediaTek Dimensity 6300 (6nm)
- OriginOS 5 (Android 15)
- 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256 GB UFS 2.2 storage
- 13 MP rear and 5 MP front camera
- 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging
- Dual Nano-SIM 5G, NFC, IR remote control, 3.5mm Audio Jack
- SGS-certified drop resistance, Side-mounted fingerprint scanner
The Vivo Y37+ is priced at 1,599 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 21,000) for the 8 GB + 256 GB variant and will be available in three colours – Obsidian Black, Glaze Blue and Sunrise Gold.
The phone is already listed on Vivo's China storefront and will be available soon. India availability is currently unknown, but we should hear more from Vivo on that soon, so stay tuned.
