Following the recent launch of the Vivo Y500 in China, Vivo is now preparing to release its more powerful sibling, the Vivo Y500 Pro. The device will be a mid-range phone with a high-resolution camera being its main highlight, and the firm has announced its launch timeline.
Han Boxiao, Product Manager at Vivo, officially confirmed via Weibo that the Vivo Y500 Pro will launch in China before the end of 2025. He confirmed the smartphone will boast a 200 MP f/1.9 Samsung HP5 sensor.

With three more months to go before 2025 ends, the launch timeline may not look very specific. However, considering the Vivo V60e (rebranded Y500 Pro) is confirmed to launch in India in October 2025, it won't be surprising if the Y500 Pro launches in China next month.
The Pro variant of the Vivo Y500 is expected to feature a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED display alongside a 200 MP + 8 MP ultrawide rear camera setup. The phone could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset and a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging.
Most of the Vivo V60e's specifications are also under wraps, which makes it difficult for us to single out the Vivo Y500 Pro's specifications. Both phones are likely to miss out on the Zeiss branding, unlike the Vivo V60.
Storage configurations of the Y500 Pro could include 8 GB + 128 GB, 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB. These indirectly confirm that the smartphone won't feature the fastest storage speeds, as the latest UFS 4.0 and 4.1 standards start at 256 GB storage in the base variants. Lastly, the Vivo Y500 Pro could arrive with OriginOS 5 out of the box in China.
Stay tuned as we will cover all the upcoming information about the phone's potential launch date and delve into its specifications.
