The Vivo Y6a has launched in China as the brand's latest entry-level smartphone. With a focus on durability and battery endurance, the smartphone looks to woo budget buyers without burning a hole in their wallets.
Vivo Y6a Specifications and Features
Starting with the design, the Vivo Y6a features the same design as its sibling, the Vivo Y6. There are three colourways on offer – Black, White and Gold, and the latter two boast a subtle feathery pattern at the back alongside a square camera module.
The camera module houses two cameras with LED flash and what Vivo calls a "breathing LED" to alert users of incoming notifications and calls. As for water and dust protection, the phone features IP68 and IP69 ratings.

The smartphone comes with a 6.75-inch HD+ 120 Hz LCD display with 1,200 nits of HBM. The display has a fairly large chin at the front, alongside a hole punch cutout at the top housing the front camera.
Speaking of which, the phone features an 8 MP snapper at the front for selfies and a 50 MP main camera at the back.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y6a is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, and complementing it is 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Powering the internals is a large 7,200mAh battery, paired with 44W USB-C fast charging support.

The smartphone comes with OriginOS 6 features out of the box based on Android 16. However, Vivo hasn't promised any major updates to the phone. That said, security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Connectivity-wise, the Vivo Y6a features Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, 5G and NFC, alongside a USB 2.0 Type-C port.
