Xiaomi has revealed the launch date of its upcoming flagship, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and it's just a few days away. The smartphone will debut in China with flagship Leica cameras and specifications, including the latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra launch date set for December 25
After revealing Xiaomi 17 Ultra launch timeline last week, Xiaomi has finally unveiled via its official Weibo account that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be unveiled on December 25, 2025, at 7:00 PM CST (or 4:30 PM IST).

Xiaomi released a teaser video of the smartphone, followed by a carousel of renders revealing the full design of the smartphone in its signature Starry Sky Green colour.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, but the main highlight of the smartphone is expected to be its 1-inch Omnivision OV50X sensor.

The sensor reportedly uses an advanced LOFIC technology to deliver great low-light images. It is joined by a 200 MP Samsung periscope telephoto lens, all with Leica APO-certified optics.
Previous Xiaomi 17 Ultra battery leaks suggested a 6,800mAh battery with 100W charging and 80W wireless charging. The official post also reveals that the phone will pack all this in a body that's 8.29 mm thick. Besides its signature Starry Sky Green colourway, the smartphone will also be available in Black and White colourways.
While the China launch date is now confirmed, the smartphone is expected to arrive in India sometime in Q1 2026. Considering the Xiaomi 15 Ultra arrived in the subcontinent in March 2025, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra could arrive at around the same time or sooner, so stay tuned.
