A new leak has given the first clear look at the Xiaomi 17 Ultra's upcoming photography kit, revealing a redesigned camera deco. We also get to know that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will feature not four but three rear cameras.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra camera details revealed
As per the latest leak from XiaomiTime, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be equipped with a triple rear camera setup. This settles earlier speculation that the phone might retain a quad camera layout like its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The circular camera housing is shown with three visible lenses and the Leica branding.

According to the latest report, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra camera specifications will be as follows:
- 50 MP OmniVision OVX10500U main camera
- 200 MP Samsung S5KHPE telephoto camera
- 50 MP OmniVision OV50M or Samsung S5KJN5 ultra-wide camera
Although there are three cameras this time around, a previous Xiaomi 17 Ultra camera leak detailed how the brand is opting for larger sensors this time around. So, at the cost of a third sensor, you're actually getting upgraded sensors.
Meanwhile, at the front, the upcoming flagship is expected to feature a 50 MP OmniVision OV50ME selfie shooter. The leaked Xiaomi 17 Ultra photography kit shows a detachable camera grip accessory as well, similar to what Xiaomi offered with the 15. The grip features a physical shutter button and a textured finish and from the looks of it, the kit will be available in black and beige finishes.
Apart from that, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra specs are expected to include the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, over 7,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging. The phone is also expected to arrive with Android 16-based HyperOS 3 right out of the box.
With that said, while nothing is known about the Xiaomi 17 Ultra launch date, expect to see it go official sometime in 2026 as the top-of-the-line addition to the Xiaomi 17 series.
