Last week, Xiaomi confirmed its re-entry into the book-style foldable space with the Xiaomi 18 Fold. The upcoming smartphone is already up for pre-order in China and real-world Xiaomi 18 Fold images have also leaked, giving us a good idea of its design. Now, a new report revealed the alleged battery and charging specifications of the foldable.
As per tipster Bald Panda on Weibo, the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Fold will reportedly feature a massive 6,000mAh battery and support 67W fast and 50W wireless charging. If true, this will be the second book-style foldable to launch with that much cell capacity, after the Oppo Find N6.

However, the Xiaomi 18 Fold will be a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the yet-to-launch Apple iPhone Ultra. Even then, Xiaomi's folding phone could bring a larger battery than both of the other two foldables.
For context, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 features a 4,800mAh battery, while the iPhone Ultra is tipped to bring a 5,500mAh cell. This will make the Xiaomi 18 Fold ship with 1,200mAh more than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and 500mAh more than the iPhone Ultra.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold real-life image recently leaked, showcasing a passport-like form factor in a dark red colour option. Unlike the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the iPhone Ultra, Xiaomi's foldable appears to get a full-fledged rear camera system, complete with a main + ultra-wide + telephoto camera setup.
Previous leaks have pointed to a 200 MP main camera for the Xiaomi 18 Fold, a 6.56-inch outer display and a 7.76-inch foldable inner display panel.

The SoC will be paired with the XRING O100 AI acceleration chip and the XRING D100 AI chip, bringing a tri-chip configuration to the Xiaomi 18 Fold.
Moreover, this will also become the first smartphone in the world to feature CXMT’s LPDDR6 RAM, bringing China’s next-generation DRAM technology to a commercial phone for the first time.
That said, the Xiaomi 18 Fold is expected to launch in China in September 2026. Xiaomi is yet to reveal the phone's exact launch date. However, we should know that in the coming days. So, stay tuned.
