Xiaomi has officially taken the wraps off the Xring O3 and it's a successor to the Xring O1 which was launched in 2025. It's built on TSMC's 3nm N3P process node and the Xring O3 packs 24 billion transistors, up from 19 billion transistors on the Xring O1. And as reported before, Xring O3 leaks correctly called the switch to Arm's new C1 cores, but Xiaomi has gone with a bigger 10-core layout rather than the 8-core setup. So let's go ahead and learn more about the Xring O3 chipset.
Xring O3 AnTuTu and Geekbench Scores (Claimed)
Xiaomi revealed its Xring O3 chipset by showcasing incredible scores in both AnTuTu V11 and Geekbench. Xiaomi claims the Xring O3 has achieved an astounding 5.22 million points in the AnTuTu V11 benchmark. The score is well past a line no phone chip has ever touched.

For context, in our Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 benchmark, Qualcomm's flagship chip scored 3,740,686 points. The claimed multi-core Geekbench score is even more remarkable. A score of 3,945 in single-core and 15,221 in multi-core would be above everything else on the market right now. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with its powerful custom Oryon cores and with an 8-core setup scored 10,207 in our Geekbench multi-core test.
That said, there is one big caveat. These tests were done in Xiaomi's own lab and these figures don't match what you get on a real device in real-world conditions. So, I would hold off before declaring the Xring O3 as the new smartphone chipset champion. We will be running our own tests on an actual retail unit soon stay tuned.

Xring O3 CPU
The Xring O3 packs a 10-core CPU setup with no efficiency cores at all. It packs Arm's latest C1-series cores similar to the Dimensity 9500 chipset. It features 2x C1-Ultra cores at 4.35GHz, 4x C1-Premium at 3.68GHz and 4x C1-Pro at 3.15GHz. There are also dual SME2 units for CPU-bound AI work.
Here, there are two large Arm C1-Ultra cores and they run at a peak clock speed of 4.35GHz, slightly above the Dimensity 9500's top frequency of 4.21GHz. Next, it features a heavy CPU cluster than anyone else in the market.

The Dimensity 9500 brings a single C1-Ultra with three C1-Premium cores in an octa-core setup, while Xiaomi doubles the Ultra cores and adds a fourth Premium core. This may be the reason the multi-core claim is so high. For comparison, our own Xring O1 benchmark recorded 9,114 in Geekbench multi-core, which would be a huge jump of around 67%.
Xiaomi also claims a 25% reduction in power draw in medium to low tasks. Of course, 10 big cores with six of them clocked between 3.68GHz and 4.35GHz raises questions about heat and thermal behaviour. We need to test a retail unit before drawing a firm conclusion.

Xring O3 GPU
On the graphics side, Xiaomi has introduced Arm's new GPU called the G2-Ultra NX, which is a 16-core GPU.
Xiaomi claims the Xring O3 delivers 85% higher GPU performance and 64% lower power draw compared to the Xring O1. In addition, there is a huge 182% jump in ray-tracing performance. The GPU also integrates 8 NX neural-network units for AI super-resolution. It's a response to the upscaling tech Qualcomm and MediaTek have been showcasing.

In the first Xring O1 chip, raw graphics performance was the weak area so it seems Xiaomi has improved it significantly this time. In fact, Xiaomi went as far as to call it possibly the most powerful mobile graphics processor on the market right now.
The Arm Mali-G1 Ultra GPU inside the Dimensity 9500 chipset set a very high bar for mobile GPUs this generation and it will be fascinating to see whether the next-gen G2-Ultra NX can deliver its claimed performance.

Xring O3 3DMark Scores
Xiaomi revealed official 3DMark figures, comparing the Xring O3 against the A19 Pro and the Xring O1. Steel Nomad Light is a pure raster test and the Xring O3's 4,657 points is about 55% ahead of the A19 Pro's 3,004 points. In fact, it's 85% above the Xring O1.

Next, in the 3DMark Solar Bay Extreme test which evaluates ray tracing performance, the Xring O3 scored 3,628 points, leading by 51% over the A19 Pro and a massive 182% above the Xring O1. If these numbers hold up in retail units, Arm's new G2-Ultra NX GPU would again take the lead in mobile gaming.

Xring O3 AI and NPU
Xiaomi is branding the Xring O3 as an "AI flagship SoC". It packs a redesigned 4-core NPU built specifically for Xiaomi's on-device MiMo large model.

It's said to deliver 200 TOPS (trillion operations per second) and Xiaomi claims a 45% uplift in on-device AI performance. For comparison, the Xring O1's NPU stood at 44 TOPS, so this is a generational leap in AI performance.
What is interesting is that AI hardware is embedded across the chip. The CPU gets its dual SME2 units, the GPU features 8 NX accelerators and then there is the NPU. Whether all of that translates into AI features and experiences is the real test, but on paper, the AI hardware is pretty capable.

Xring O3 Memory and Latency
No phone chip has shipped with LPDDR6 memory until now and Xiaomi has beaten everyone to it. The Xring O3 runs a 4 x 24-bit memory bus at 10,667Mbps for a peak bandwidth of 113.8GB/s. It delivers a huge 48% jump over LPDDR5X at 9,600MT/s.

Verdict
I think the Xring O3 is an incredibly powerful chipset, if the claims turn out to be true. Xiaomi has packed 10 big CPU cores, a beefier Arm G2-Ultra NX GPU and the first to bring LPDDR6 memory on a smartphone chip. It appears the Xring O3 is directly taking on the upcoming Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.
That said, we need to wait and test the chipset on a retail device before drawing any conclusion. It must be seen how Xiaomi is managing all the heat and thermal throttling. In addition, we should be looking at sustained performance more than peak performance.
Until we can run the Xring O3 through our own AnTuTu, Geekbench, 3DMark and CPU throttling tests on a retail device, consider the announcement as promising but not settled. We will update the article with independent numbers the moment we get a phone with the Xring O3 chipset.
