Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil its next-generation Pad 8 series later this month, with pre-reservations already live in China. The company has started dropping teasers now, hinting at major upgrades over the previous generation, including big gains in performance and battery life.
Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro processor confirmed
The brand took to its official Weibo handle to confirm that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor will be powering the upcoming Pad 8 Pro. While this was already known, thanks to a Pad 8 Pro Geekbench listing that surfaced recently, it's good to have an official confirmation now.

Now, the 8 Elite is significantly powerful than the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. To be specific, the 8 Elite delivers approximately 80-100% better GPU performance and up to 75% better CPU performance than the 8s Gen 3.
So, it does justify the "big jump in performance" claim of the brand. Additionally, the brand also teases the tablet to run "heavy-duty games for long periods of time, with full frames." Besides, the post also reveals that Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi China, will be holding a livestream at 7:00 PM CST (4:30 PM IST) to unveil other details.
