The ongoing RAM crisis has pushed the smartphone market into a corner, with price hikes becoming the new norm. However, the ripple effects are also felt in tablets, as Xiaomi has now revised the pricing of the Xiaomi Pad 8, as well as Redmi-branded tablets like the Redmi Pad 2 and Redmi Pad 2 Pro in India.
Xiaomi Pad 8, Redmi Pad 2 and Redmi Pad 2 Pro Prices Hiked in India
The information comes from leaker @saaaanjjjuuu on X, and we independently verified the price hikes for the Xiaomi Pad 8, Redmi Pad 2 and Redmi Pad 2 Pro. The premium Xiaomi Pad 8 now starts from Rs 37,999 instead of Rs 35,999, which comes to a Rs 2,000 price hike.

Next, the month-old Redmi Pad 2 has received a Rs 1,000 price hike, taking the base 4 GB + 128 GB model to Rs 19,999, up from Rs 18,999. The same is true for the other RAM and storage options as well.
As for the Redmi Pad 2 Pro, it now starts from Rs 27,999, up from Rs 26,999, which is a Rs 1,000 price hike. Here is a detailed breakdown of the price hikes of all three tablets:

The new prices are live on the Xiaomi India website. All three tablets are sitting on their second price hike, with the first Xiaomi Pad 8 price hike having happened just last month.
