The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max has debuted in China alongside the Xiaomi 18 Fold launch. The new flagship tablet is the first Xiaomi Pad to feature the brand's Xring O3 chipset and it pairs the new silicon with a large display, a massive battery and more. 

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max Specifications and Features

The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max features a 13.3-inch LCD display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, 3.4K resolution (3408 x 2272 pixels) and a 144 Hz refresh rate. The panel can reach up to 1,000 nits of HBM and has a claimed Delta E of around 0.47, making it suitable for both productivity and content consumption.

Additionally, Xiaomi is offering a Soft Light Screen option with a nano-textured surface to reduce glare and reflections. For audio and an immersive viewing experience, Xiaomi has fitted the tablet with eight speakers. There are six microphones to use as well.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max is powered by Xiaomi's Xring O3 flagship processor. This SoC features a 10-core CPU with a maximum clock speed of 4.35 GHz and a 16-core G2-Ultra NX GPU. 

Xiaomi claims that the chipset's CPU and GPU performance is now close to Apple's M5 desktop platform. The tablet comes with up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, while the higher-end configurations also use LPDDR6 memory.

The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max is 5.67mm thick and weighs 645 grams. It has a metal unibody design and comes in Wine Red, Black and Silver. There is also a 32 MP front camera and a 50 MP rear camera. 

The tablet packs a large 12,000mAh battery with support for 120W fast wired charging. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 and a full-function USB-C port with DP-in support. This allows the Pad 9 Pro Max to work as a secondary display for a PC or a gaming handheld, giving the tablet a more PC-like use case.

On the software side, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max runs on HyperOS 4 and supports up to six apps at once through its split-screen multitasking feature. Xiaomi has also designed the interface around the larger display and productivity-centric 3:2 aspect ratio. 

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max Price in China and Availability

The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max price starts at 4,799 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 67,500) for the base 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant.

Apart from this, the tablet also comes in 12 GB + 256 GB, 16 GB + 256 GB, 12 GB + 512 GB, 16 GB + 512 GB, 16 GB + 512 GB Nano Texture and 16 GB + 1 TB Nano Texture variants. 

In addition, the floating keyboard is sold separately for 1,099 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 15,500).
