The serial number on a OnePlus phone is a unique hardware identifier, and it's assigned to each OnePlus device. The serial number can help you with a warranty claim and verify whether a second-hand OnePlus phone is genuine or not. The good news is that checking the serial number on OnePlus phones is easy and straightforward. In this guide, I have added all the reliable ways to check the serial number on a OnePlus phone. On that note, let's begin.
Find OnePlus Serial Number Using Settings App
The easiest way to view your OnePlus serial number is from the Settings app on OxygenOS. The process is quite similar to how you can check IMEI number on OnePlus phones. Here's how to do it.
- Open the Settings app on your OnePlus phone and go to About device > Status.
- Now, scroll down and look for Serial number.
- Long-press on the serial number to copy it to your clipboard. That's it.

You can now paste the serial number directly into the OnePlus warranty check page or share it with the service centre as needed.
Use Phone App to View OnePlus Serial Number
Apart from the above method, this is another way to check your OnePlus serial number along with the IMEI on the same screen. It works on almost every Android phone, which is why it's the universal method to check IMEI on Samsung phones and other Android devices. Here are the steps to follow on a OnePlus phone.
- Launch the Phone app on your OnePlus phone and head to the Keypad tab.
- Now, type *#06# exactly as mentioned. There is no need to press the call button.
- The screen will pop up with IMEI 1, IMEI 2, the EID and the Serial number (SN) of your OnePlus phone.

Note that on newer OxygenOS builds, this menu only displays the IMEI numbers and skips the serial number. In that case, use the above-mentioned Settings method. For a complete list of useful OxygenOS codes, check out our list of OnePlus secret codes.
Check Serial Number from the OnePlus Retail Box
If your OnePlus phone won't turn on, you can find the serial number through the original box. On the back of the retail box, look for a white sticker that lists the model name, IMEI numbers and the S/N (serial number). Now, note down the serial number for future reference.
And that covers all the ways to check the OnePlus serial number on any phone running OxygenOS. Note that the serial number and IMEI are two different identifiers. The serial number is a hardware ID that OnePlus assigns to every device it manufactures, while the IMEI is used to identify your phone across mobile networks. If you own a phone from another brand, here is how to check Samsung phone serial number, Google Pixel serial number and iPhone serial number.
