Got a new Vivo smartphone and having trouble setting up an alarm? Setting an alarm is a pretty straightforward process on most phones, including Vivo devices. Whether it is a regular alarm or a full routine with labels, the Clock app has you covered. But if you still need some help figuring out the basics, then let's walk through all the ways on how to set an alarm on a Vivo phone.
How to Set an Alarm in a Vivo Phone
As with any smartphone these days, you can set an alarm on any Vivo mobile phone from the clock app. It lets you set repeating alarms, as well as multiple alarms. You can even label alarms, too.
That's why I will show you how to set up all these alarm types on my vivo X100. Since it is running the latest OriginOS 6 update, the steps will only apply to OriginOS-eligible devices. If you have a Funtouch OS device, then the steps could be slightly different.
Setting a single alarm from the Clock app
This is the easiest and the most commonly used method to set an alarm on a Vivo phone.
- Open the Clock app on your Vivo phone and tap on the Alarm tab at the bottom.
- Tap on the + button to create a new alarm.
- Set your desired time by scrolling through the hour and minute dials. Also, choose AM or PM accordingly.

- Next, tap on Repeat if you want the alarm to repeat on selected days and then choose a desired option in the subsequent screen from – Once, Every day, Monday to Friday, Shift workdays and Custom.

- You can also tap on Date and select a date to set the alarm for a specific date.

- The Clock app on OriginOS also lets you pick the Ringtone & vibration, add a Label and adjust the Snooze timer. You can customise it as per your preference for any alarm.
- When you are done, tap on the tick mark at the top right.

That’s it. Your alarm is now active. This is the same standard method Vivo uses on all its phones.
Setting multiple alarms for different routines
If you have difficulty waking up with a single alarm like me, you can also set multiple alarms on your Vivo phone to make sure you are up and ready on time.
- Head over to the Clock app on your Vivo phone and go to the Alarm tab.
- Now, turn on the toggle next to each alarm to activate multiple alarms.

- If you want to change the time of a particular alarm, then you can tap on it to customise it.
- You can make the necessary changes by following the aforementioned steps in the earlier section and save it by tapping on the tick mark at the top right.
Your alarms page should look something like the screenshot above. That's it! You have now set up multiple alarms that will guarantee you are never late.
Setting an alarm using Google Gemini
Besides the method above, there is an even simpler way to set an alarm on your Vivo phone. That is by using the Google Gemini AI assistant, and asking you to create an alarm for you. Here, try this:
- Long-press the Power button on your Vivo phone, or say "Hey Google" to activate Gemini.
- Once the Gemini pop-up appears, say "Set an alarm for (preferred time)" or "Wake me up at (preferred time)".

Gemini will now automatically add your desired alarm to the Clock app.
Note: Google Gemini cannot set alarms more than 24 hours in advance on Vivo phones.
This is great for setting simpler alarms, but if you want to add more customisations like labels and set whether it repeats or not, then you will have to manually go to the Clock app.
How to delete alarms on a Vivo Phone
If you are done with an alarm, or just don't have a use for it anymore, then follow the steps below to learn how to delete it. You can also delete multiple alarms at once using this method.
- Go to the Clock > turn off the toggle for the unwanted alarm.
- Alternatively, you can long-press on an alarm and select multiple alarms you want to delete.
- Then tap on Delete at the bottom.
- In pop-up box, you can then confirm the removal by selecting Delete.

So, that's how you set an alarm on a Vivo phone and delete it later on. While I understand that setting an alarm is one of the most elementary thing, it can get confusing especially if you are coming from a different device. I hope this guide was able to help you out, and solve any issues related to creating, setting, customising or deleting an alarm.
