To reiterate, OriginOS 6 will be unveiled on October 15, 2025, for the global audience. Vivo has already teased some of its key features, including the new and improved Atomic Island, revamped user interface and new AI features. Here are all the features you can expect in OriginOS 6.

  • Widget Stacking on Vivo's Origin OS will allow you to stack widgets on your home screen.
  • Notification Stacking stacks all the incoming notifications and presents them in a cleaner fashion.
  • Separate Notifications and Quick Settings panels will let you have more quick settings toggles and see more notifications
  • Advanced Protection mode in Android 16 disables a few Android features that can be exploited by bad actors.
  • Material 3 Expressive is expected to change the UI elements across apps, but OriginOS could retain the current look and feel.

OriginOS 6's stable release date is currently unknown, but we expect it to roll out by the end of 2025 to the most recent Vivo and iQOO devices. These include the X Fold 5, Vivo X200 series and the iQOO 13 iQOO 12 smartphones.

Vivo's mid-range devices may not receive the update until Q1 or Q2 2026. Newer mid-range phones might get OriginOS 16 sooner, while older devices may have to wait longer. Lastly, Vivo's upcoming X300 series and iQOO 15 are both expected to come with OriginOS 6 out of the box.
