Apple's 20th anniversary iPhones may be a little less futuristic than some of the rumours suggested. According to a new leak, the milestone iPhones won't hide the camera or Face ID sensors completely under the display and the Dynamic Island is staying put.
Tipster AppleLeaker took to X to share that the 20th anniversary iPhone will not feature an under-display camera or under-display Face ID. Instead, the leaker says it will have the same Dynamic Island as the iPhone 18 Pro.
Instead, the leaker suggests that the main highlight of the upcoming milestone Apple iPhones will be a quad-curved display. For those unaware, this refers to a screen that curves on all four edges, like the OnePlus 13 and Motorola Edge 70 Pro+. This is said to be paired with an "elegant glass and metal design."

The tipster also says the claim is based on display roadmaps from DSCC (Display Supply Chain Consultants), which it says has a 100% track record for this kind of info. Additionally, the leaker mentions a caveat that things can always change, but this is the most likely outcome as of today.
The claim lines up with earlier reports on the design. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has already said that Apple is still working on its 20th anniversary iPhone redesign, with glass wrapping around the sides and a metal band running through the middle. He also reported that Apple scrapped a more extreme all-glass version because of manufacturing challenges.
Apart from this, tipster Digital Chat Station claimed Apple is testing a 6.41-inch display for the iPhone 20 Pro and a 6.96-inch screen for the iPhone 20 Pro Max. If true, this would make the iPhone 20 Pro Max Apple's largest-display iPhone yet at nearly 7 inches.

However, the same leak also suggested that the iPhone 20 series could have a smaller Dynamic Island than the iPhone 18 Pro, while AppleLeaker says it will be the same size.
Apple hasn't confirmed any of this and we don't even know the phones' final names yet, so treat all of it as a rumour for now. The phones are expected to launch sometime in September 2027, so expect to see a lot more leaks around the 20th anniversary iPhones in the coming months.
