Apple could be gearing up to launch its next affordable iPhone sooner than expected. A fresh leak suggests the iPhone 17e may debut on February 19, 2026, marking a one-year cycle since the iPhone 16e.
The latest information comes from German publication Macwelt and lines up neatly with Apple's strategy of introducing its "e" series iPhone outside the usual September launch window.

With the iPhone 17e launch timeline starting to look clearer, the affordable iPhone itself has appeared in a bunch of leaks already, which reveal some key upgrades. For starters, under the hood, the iPhone 17e could arrive with the new A19 chip, which is a notable boost from the iPhone 16e's Apple A18 processor. This will put the upcoming e-series iPhone on par with the standard iPhone 17.
Another key upgrade may come in the form of connectivity and the iPhone 17e may use Apple's in-house cellular modem, in an attempt to reduce the brand's reliance on third-party modem suppliers.
Display upgrades are also on the cards, though Apple seems to be walking a fine line between cost and modern design.
