Apple is expected to debut its next affordable iPhone sometime this month and it's none other than the highly anticipated iPhone 17e. However, unlike last year's model, Apple is expected to bring two big additions this time and the latest Front Page Tech (fpt.) YouTube video all but confirms them.

iPhone 17e renders reveal a new colourway

YouTuber Jon Prosser has shared a video via his channel Front Page Tech (fpt.), showcasing renders of the iPhone 17e based on the rumours and leaks that have been out until now. Based on that, looks like the biggest headlining feature of Apple's next budget iPhone will be the Dynamic Island.

If true, this will bring the 17e on par with the top-end Apple iPhones, which already managed to get rid of the notch-style design way back in 2022. Moreover, if that wasn't enough, ftp. also showcased MagSafe support for the iPhone 17e.

This is one feature that the past iPhone SE models have historically missed out on. So, when their renewed avatar, the iPhone 16e dropped, fans were hopeful but ultimately faced disappointment. Now, it looks like Apple will finally bring its coveted magnets to the iPhone 17e, enabling wireless charging and a host of MagSafe accessories.

Moreover, internally, ftp. claims that the phone will get network support from the Apple C1X modem and Apple N1 Wi-Fi chip. Both will be paired with the Apple A19 processor. However, unlike the iPhone 17, the A19 SoC inside the iPhone 17e is said to ship with one less GPU core.

Aside from that, pretty much every other detail of the phone will remain same as the last year's model. From the 6.1-inch 60 Hz display to the single 48 MP rear camera, Apple is yet to bring a full-fledged spec bump to the affordable iPhone lineup. However, the Cupertino brand might expand its colour pallette with a new Lavender Pink option on the iPhone 17e. At least that's what ftp. claims.

Other than that, as we have heard multiple times earlier, iPhone 17e's pricing is expected to match that of last year's iPhone 16e, so it could start at $599 (approximately Rs 54,500). That said, with leaks pointing to iPhone 17e launch on February 19, we can expect a silent Apple newsroom annoucement in the next few days.
