Apple's iPhone 18 lineup is far from being official but leaks and rumours have been pouring in daily. From an under-display Face ID implementation to a new C2 modem, the upcoming iPhones, especially the Pro models, are shaping up to be quite the offering. Now, a fresh new report has hinted at the bold new colour palette of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
iPhone 18 Pro Could Offer Three New Colourways
In a recent Weibo post, leaker Fixed Focus Digital has claimed that while Apple is not going to bring a major design or specifications overhaul with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, it could surprise fans with entirely new colour options.
While the tipster has not explicitly mentioned the new colourways, thanks to a previous iPhone 18 Pro design and colour leak report, we know that this year's lineup is likely going to include a deep Burgundy Red option and possibly a deep Purple and Coffee Brown colourway as well.
As for the overall design of the phone, it is expected to look identical to the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Apple already brought a major design refresh with the previous models and it is not expected to make any major changes this time around. However, there are some rumours regarding the iPhone 18 Pro design, where leaks indicate the departure of the dual-tone back panel for a more cohesive and blended look.
iPhone 18 Pro Specifications (Leaked)
Aside from new colourways and an expected design upgrade, the iPhone 18 Pro is also expected to feature minor but significant changes. Not too long ago, we also got to know of the iPhone 18 Pro variable aperture cameras.
Apart from that, there are also rumours of a smaller dynamic island inside the iPhone 18 Pro. We also know that the iPhone 18 Pro modem will most likely be the Apple-made C2, which is expected to offer mmWave support. Under the hood, the Apple A20 Pro chipset is expected to power the next-gen iPhones.
iPhone 18 Pro Price (Leaked)
A key deciding factor for the success of the iPhone 18 series in general and the iPhone 18 Pro in particular is pricing. With RAM prices soaring, Apple fans are expecting a price hike with the upcoming phones. However, as per TF International Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo, Apple might keep the iPhone 18 series prices on par with the iPhone 17 series.
If true, this will essentially mean that the iPhone 18 will start from $799 and the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max could retain the same $1,099 and $1,199 launch prices, respectively. However, we are uncertain how this is going to play for India as Apple recently removed retail incentives in the country.
Hence, the upcoming iPhones might end up costing more in India, although they will launch at the same price as the last-gen models. Not to mention, the sharp Rupee downturn will also play a role in hiked prices. That said, it is still early to say with certainty what exactly the iPhone 18 Pro will bring. Moreover, with an expected iPhone 18 launch delay, it is hard to be sure at this point.
