Physical SIM trays on iPhones might be dead in the US, but they are still a thing in other major markets. Thanks to that, a recent iPhone 18 Pro SIM Card tray leak points to three colour options, in line with the previous iPhone 18 Pro colour leaks.
Prominent leaker Sonny Dickson took to X to share what looks like an internal photo from Apple's supply chain, showcasing all iPhone 18 Pro SIM card trays. The photo shows blue, dark purple and silver colourways, expected to be called Sky Blue, Dark Cherry and Silver, respectively.
While North American users have been forced into an eSIM-only ecosystem, Apple continues to manufacture physical trays for markets like India, Europe, China, Japan and Australia (though the iPhone Air ditched the tray globally). Some of the advantages of ditching the physical SIM card slot could be reflected in iPhone 18 Pro battery capacities this year.
That said, this leak also suggests Apple could finally eliminate the Black or Dark Grey options from its lineup. However, a few rumours suggest that Black will still be offered. The latest leak brushes off those rumours as well, saying the initially leaked units in Black were standard factory placeholders and that Apple doesn't prefer the colour anymore.
This theory holds weight. Tipster Instant Digital made the same claim back in April. While some are still banking on the colour's existence, we won't have to wait too long, as the iPhone 18 Pro launch event is all set for September 9, 2026.
Apple's first foldable iPhone Ultra is also expected to take the stage. Unlike the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, the iPhone Ultra colour leaks point to White and Black colourways.
