Apple is reportedly preparing one of the most radical iPhone display redesigns in years for 2027. Multiple reports reveal that the Cupertino brand is planning to use an almost bezel-less display for the first time, at least for the 20th Anniversary iPhone. Now, a new leak claims that it might extend to the iPhone 19 Pro series as well.
iPhone 19 Pro Could Feature Quad Curved OLED Display
As per notable tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), Apple is testing the current iPhone 19 Pro prototype with a micro quad curved OLED display. This is the same technology that the upcoming 20th Anniversary iPhone is set to debut with.
Moreover, the iPhone 19 Pro and iPhone 19 Pro Max are also said to get the same uninterrupted screen treatment as the 20th anniversary iPhone, with a single hole punch cutout and Face ID going fully under display.

If true, this could prove to be really confusing for fans in general and iPhones in 2027 in particular. The reason being, initially reports claimed that the micro quad curved uninterrupted OLED was exclusively reserved for the 20th anniversary iPhone. It was clearly indicating a top-tier positioning, even above the iPhone 19 Pro Max.
However, with the current leak claiming the same tech is coming to the iPhone 19 Pro and iPhone 19 Pro Max, there is little room for Apple to differentiate between the three phones and also lower incentive for fans to purchase the 20th anniversary iPhone.
That said, with Apple investing heavily on its new display technology, it will also not make sense for them to use it only once a year. Recently, a report claimed Apple is planning a two-stage OLED upgrade for the 20th anniversary iPhone.
Its partner, LG Display, has already announced a $790 million investment in OLED infrastructure, presumably for the new display technology for iPhones. Hence, it only makes sense if Apple manages to widely adopt its quad curved OLED while still keeping enough room to differentiate between all the iPhone models.
