Among the myriad of announcements in WWDC 25, Apple announced new Apple TV features that are coming to tvOS 26. The upcoming release is all set to feature Apple's new design language bundled with a couple of new features to enhance your watching experience. Here's everything that's coming in tvOS 26.
One of the main highlights of WWDC 25 is Apple adopting a new Liquid Glass design across operating systems, and tvOS 26 hasn't been left out. Starting with the improved UI, which Apple claims makes your viewing experience seamless and free of distractions.

Like in iOS 26 and other operating systems, the Liquid Glass interface renders the reflections in real-time, adding great depth to the UI while not feeling too clunky. This ensures the content always remains the main part of the viewing experience while things like forward, rewinding, sleep timer, and audio adjustment remain in the control centre.

The improvements also extend to the Apple TV app which, besides boasting the new UI, now shows more movies and shows on the home page. Another new feature is display profiles, which users can select as Apple TV wakes up to quickly get recommendations in Apple TV and music playlists in Apple Music.
tvOS 26 also brings the ability to transform your iPhone into a microphone on Apple TV, allowing you to host a music party. Your friends can chime in with their iPhones, queue up music, and react with onscreen emoji.

With Lyrics translation and Pronunciation coming to Apple Music, users can sing along or understand the meaning behind their favourite music on the big screen with ease.
Lastly, tvOS 26 adds personalized FaceTime experience with Contact Posters on Apple TV to make it easier to show a customized photo of the caller when starting a FaceTime call on Apple TV. This is accompanied by Lice Captions and Translations, which can help translate the call in different languages. Besides, FaceTime audio and call notifications will appear on the screen for ease of picking up calls.
