New details regarding the Honor Magic 8 Mini have surfaced, indicating the phone could focus on delivering an exceptionally thin design despite sporting a smaller battery. The smartphone is expected to be a compact offering rumoured to launch soon.
Honor Magic 8 Mini could be under 6 mm thick
The latest leak from the revered tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that the Honor Magic 8 Mini could be powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset. While earlier Magic 8 Mini rumours suggested a 6,000mAh battery, the new leak points toward a 5,500mAh battery. It also reveals that the phone may boast a thickness of just around 6 mm.

The leak further details the display and camera capabilities. For starters, Honor could pack a 6.31-inch flat LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution into the Magic 8 Mini.
For optics, it is expected to house a 200 MP main camera alongside a 50 MP telephoto snapper with a 1/1.5" sensor size. Details about the phone's design and other specifications are still unknown.

However, considering the phone belongs to the Magic 8 series, it should resemble the other phones in the series. For those unaware, the Honor Magic 8 series launched in China in October 2025 with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
The official launch date of the phone remains unconfirmed, but these leaks suggest the Honor Magic 8 Mini is nearing its final stages. With the confirmed specifications so far, the phone could be the industry's first flagship to pack both slim and compact form factors into one package.
We expect Honor to launch the Honor Magic 8 Mini in January 2026, so stay tuned as we will closely follow the launch and delve deeper into its specifications in the future.
