Honor has officially launched its new flagship smartphone lineup, the Honor Magic 8 series, in China. The series includes the Honor Magic 8 and the top-of-the-line Honor Magic 8 Pro, both powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and massive batteries.
Honor Magic 8 Series is the next big flagship in China
Starting with the display, the Honor Magic 8 Pro features a 6.71-inch 1.5K quad-curved LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and, 4320Hz PWM dimming. The display houses an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for faster unlock. The standard Magic 8 features a smaller 6.58-inch display with similar specifications.

Powering both the devices is Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 alongside 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The 8 Elite Gen 5 is an octa-core processor based on Qualcomm's latest Nuvia Oryon 3rd generation cores that bump up the performance by 40% compared to its predecessor.
Design-wise, it looks similar to the Vivo X300 series from the back, with a circular camera module, until you notice the slightly pointy protrusions at the corner of each lens. The Magic 8 Pro houses a triple camera setup with a 200 MP telephoto, which is a Samsung HP9 sensor, alongside a 50 MP wide and a 50 MP ultrawide snapper.

On the standard Magic 8, a 64 MP periscope telephoto replaces the 200 MP sensor, while the rest of the two 50 MP wide and ultrawide sensors remain the same. The front cameras on both devices are a 50 MP unit.
Powering the internals, the Magic 8 Pro features a 7,100mAh battery with 120W fast charging, whereas the standard Magic 8 features a smaller 7,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging.

Both phones run on Honor's new MagicOS 10, based on Android 16. The release brings UI upgrades like lock screen widgets, customisations and seamless cross-device ecosystem connectivity with Apple devices. MagicOS 10 also brings improvements to Honor's Dynamic Island-equivalent feature called Smart Capsule. It now supports more apps.
The Honor Magic 8 Series will be China-exclusive, for now
The Honor Magic 8 arrives in two colours: Asahi Gold and Azure, while the Magic 8 Pro gets two additional colours: White and Black. Both the phones arrive in four storage variants: 12 GB + 256 GB, 12 GB + 512 GB, 16 GB + 512 GB and 16 GB + 1 TB. The base variant of the Magic 8 starts at 4,499 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 53,000) while the Magic 8 Pro starts at 5,699 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 67,300).
The Magic 8 series is now available for pre-order on Honor's official store. The devices will go on sale starting October 22, 2025.
