Summary

  • Honor is planning to launch the Magic V3 foldable in India sometime in September 2025.
  • Brand custodian of Honor's India Business, CP Khandelwal, brings the confirmation on X.
  • Honor is also planning to launch its latest Magic V5 in India after the Magic V3 goes official.

Looks like the Indian foldable smartphone market may have another entry soon. Honor is apparently planning on launching its Magic V3 in India sometime in September 2025.

CP Khandelwal, Honor India's Brand Custodian, has hinted that the company plans to launch the device in the country next month. Khandelwal posted a photo from an Honor Magic V5 event with a playful caption that reads "try not to ask 'when in India'..:)"

However, when tipster Mukul Sharma asked the same question, Khandelwal’s response was more revealing than expected. "After V3. We are under planning to launch V3 next month," he replied.

Going by this, Honor could very well be launching even its latest Magic V5 in the country by the end of this year. Given that the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold launch is scheduled for August 20, 2025, it makes sense for Honor to be launching its best foldables in the country.

Besides, the Honor V Flip 2 China launch has been set for August 21, 2025. So, one can also expect the brand to launch one of its best flip phones in India as well.

With that said, since the Honor Magic V3 has already gone official globally, we already know of its key specifications. Here's a quick rundown:

  • 7.92-inch 10-bit 2K OLED inner screen
  • 6.43-inch 10-bit Full HD+ OLED cover screen
  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset
  • 40 MP ultra-wide lens + 50 MP wide lens + 50 MP telephoto lens
  • Two 20 MP ultra-wide selfie shooter
  • 5150mAh with 66W fast charging
  • IPX8 rating
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e/7, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS
  • Side-mounted fingerprint scanner

With all that out of the way, it does seem that Honor has big plans for India. So, stay tuned and expect to hear a concrete Honor Magic V3 India launch date in the coming days.
