Huawei has officially unveiled two mid-rangers – Huawei Nova 16s and Nova 16s Pro, in Munich, Germany. The phones carry unique designs, OLED displays, versatile cameras and large batteries, and they closely resemble the Nova 16 and 16 Pro that launched in China earlier this year.
Huawei Nova 16s and Nova 16s Pro Specifications and Features
Starting off with what stands out the most, the Nova 16s and Nova 16s Pro sports a large camera bar at the top with two large circular dials to house the sensors and LED flash.
On that note, the Huawei Nova 16s Pro features a 200 MP RYYB main camera with a f/1.8 lens, and this is paired alongside a True-to-Colour multispectral sensor for better colour reproduction. The brand claims this combination will help restore skin tones and details, even in low light. The standard Nova 16s also comes with this True-to-Colour sensor, but it pairs with a 50 MP main camera instead.
Both phones feature a 50 MP RYYB periscope telephoto camera with the Nova 16s and Nova 16s Pro zooming optically up to 3.3x and 3.7x, respectively. The Pro model differentiates itself with an additional 50 MP RYYB ultra-wide camera with 118° field of view. A 50 MP front camera graces both phones, but the one on the Nova 16s Pro gets the True-to-Colour treatment.
On the front, the smaller Huawei Nova 16s packs a 6.68-inch 120 Hz OLED screen with 2800 x 1280 pixels resolution and 5,500 nits peak brightness. Meanwhile, the Nova 16s Pro brings a 6.84-inch 120 Hz LTPO OLED panel with 2856 x 1320 pixels resolution and 6,000 nits peak brightness.
They also differ internally. The Nova 16s is powered by Huawei's Kirin 8020 processor, while the Pro model takes the more powerful Kirin 9010S chipset. Both devices, however, ship with the same 7,000mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging.
The Nova 16s series comes running EMUI 16.0 bundled with Huawei's own suite of AI features. These include AI Move, AI Remove, AI Best Expression and AI De-Glare. Here's a quick rundown of the Huawei Nova 16s and Nova 16s Pro specifications:

Huawei is offering the Nova 16s series in a slew of colourways. The standard Nova 16s will be available in Breathing Crystal, Isle Blue, Sky White and Starry Black. Its Pro model will get all of these colours, barring the Sky White colourway.
We're yet to hear official word from the brand for the pricing and availability of the Huawei Nova 16s and Nova 16s Pro. We'll make sure we update this portion once any information pops up.
