Back in April this year, the Huawei Pura X Max launched as the world's first wide-screen foldable. Well, Huawei seemingly wants to take another leap towards innovation with a new wide-screen slab phone format. Now, this unique phone's key specifications have surfaced online, giving us a better idea of what it will pack.
Huawei Widescreen Slab Phone Key Specifications
Key details of Huawei's upcoming widescreen slab smartphone have been tipped by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo. The tipster claims to have seen an engineering prototype of the phone and highlights the unique form factor of the smartphone. He also goes on to reveal some of its key specifications, such as Kirin 9000 series processor, 50 MP primary camera and a 7,000mAh battery.

Additionally, the tipster highlights that despite its wide display footprint, the phone manages to remain relatively thin and lightweight in hand. The phone is expected to utilise a 16:10 aspect ratio with 2K resolution, offering a noticeably broader viewing area than any standard flagship currently on the market.
The primary camera is expected to be a 50 MP 1/1.3-inch unit. However, despite its thin profile, there's said to be a 50 MP periscope snapper with 3x optical zoom alongside a multi-spectral lens. Not much is known about the rest of the specifications of the smartphone yet.
That said, while the final aesthetics and the exact shape of the rear camera module and the smartphone remain unclear, the phone is expected to launch by the end of 2026. Industry insiders suggest the phone could make its debut after the launch of the upcoming Mate 90 series, potentially before 2026.
More information about the interesting Huawei wide phone should be revealed as we inch closer to the expected launch timeline, so stay tuned.
