How to Enrol for the Motorola Android 17 Beta

Users who have any of the eligible devices and wish to receive the Android 17 builds need to go through a series of tests. It goes without saying that since these are the early builds, there will be a lot of bugs and issues. With that said, here is how you can enrol in Motorola's beta program:

  1. Create an account on Motorola's community website.
  2. Update your phone's IMEI and serial number on your profile page.
  3. Apply for MFN on Motorola community profile.
  4. Check testing availability for your device at MFN Beta Testing Oppotunities page.
  5. Visit the registration link and enter the required details.

Users whose application is approved will receive an OTA update to install the latest Android 17 beta. Currently, Google Pixel phones are receiving Android 17 beta 3, which comes with multitasking bubbles, expanded dark mode, redesigned recording toolbar and hidden app labels.

While a stable Hello UI build based on Android 17 is far from near, it is good to see Motorola finally taking charge this time and hopefully all their devices receive timely updates this time around.
