Android 17 arrived on Pixel phones back in June and Motorola is one of the first brands to offer the update. After starting the beta soon after Google, Motorola has now confirmed the complete list of phones for the Hello UI Android 17 update and the stable rollout has already started. So if you are wondering whether your Motorola phone will get Android 17, here is the full list of eligible devices.
When Will Motorola Phones Get Android 17?
Motorola kicked off its Android 17 beta in India just days after Google and it has now confirmed the full eligible devices roster through Lenovo's official blog. The stable update is already going out and the Motorola Edge 2025 is the first device to receive it.
Motorola is deploying the Android 17 update in different tiers. Premium foldables and flagships get priority, so the Razr 70 series, Razr 60 series and the Edge 70 lineup are next in line, followed by the rest of the Edge family. The budget Moto G series will likely wait until late 2026 or early 2027.

Note that Motorola does not publish a single list. Instead, it updates each phone's software support page individually, so the roster below is compiled from those pages and Lenovo's announcement. Motorola's official list surprisingly leaves out the Edge 60 Neo and the Edge 50 Neo, both of which were promised up to five years of OS updates, in addition to the rest of the Edge 50 series. They should be eligible and Motorola may simply add them in a later update to its support pages.

What Is New in Hello UI Based on Android 17?
Now that the update is rolling out, we know what Hello UI brings on top of Android 17. The notable change is a redesigned Live Updates pill that is wrapped around the selfie camera cutout. It acts like a Dynamic Island for calls, timers and music playback. Motorola has also rebranded its on-device assistant to Qira.
The rest of the update is spread across the interface. You get resizable Quick Settings tiles, new lock screen clock faces, tighter haptics, a volume panel with Material 3 Expressive sliders, universally tinted app icons and an app drawer that switches folders to a 3x3 grid.
Apart from that, Android 17 adds App Bubbles for floating multitasking, one-time location permissions and a Contacts Picker that shares only the contacts you choose. Note that Motorola's more advanced on-device AI features rely on newer hardware, so the cheapest Moto G phones will not get everything all the flagship features.
