Summary

  • Motorola has gained a head start with early Android 17 Beta access with stable expected later this year.
  • The list of eligible devices include Moto flagships like Signature, which is promised seven years of OS updates.
  • The eligibility extends to Edge 50, 60 and 70 series as well as budget entries like the Moto G86.

With Android 17 on the horizon, manufacturers are prepping updates to their UIs with new features and improvements. Moto has become the first manufacturer to roll out the Beta after Google Pixel, gaining a strong head start. With the same expected to expand to more phones soon, if you're wondering whether your phone will get the update, here's a list of all Moto phones eligible for Android 17.

When will Moto Phones get Android 17?

While we are likely looking at a late 2026 or early 2027 rollout for stable builds in India, early Motorola Beta expansion suggests we're looking at an early August or September 2026 launch. The update will first roll out to Motorola's flagship lineup, followed by the Edge series and G series.

Since it's a bit too early, Motorola has yet to release a list of supported smartphones. So, we've devised the list based on the promised updates. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the list's accuracy, but since our Motorola Android 16 list was on-point, we're pretty confident about this Android 17 phones list as well.

What to expect from Hello UI based on Android 17?

Since the Closed Beta recently rolled out and is under a non-disclosure agreement, we don't know what features will make it to Android 17. However, we do know that most of the Android 17 features will make it to the release, including a better Factory Reset Protection, Desktop Mode and more.

While information is scarce, more details about the release and its features should be unveiled as we inch closer to Android 17's official release, so stay tuned.
