Motorola is gearing up to further expand its Edge 70 lineup in India, as it has now teased a new smartphone launch. While the brand hasn't explicitly revealed the name of the phone, it is strongly believed to be the Motorola Edge 70 Pro. If that's the case, it will join the Motorola Edge 70 and Edge 70 Fusion as the third entrant in the series.
Motorola Edge 70 Pro India Launch Confirmed
The now live Flipkart microsite of the alleged Motorola Edge 70 Pro teases a camera-first smartphone, especially for night photography. Motorola is marketing the phone with the "seize the night" tagline and the camera deco of the phone is in clear focus, which strongly suggests it could be the Edge 70 Pro.
The microsite also shares multiple camera samples to showcase the low-light imaging capabilities of the smartphone. We also get to see that the Motorola Edge 70 Pro will feature a quad-curved display. Moreover, just like the Motorola Edge 70 and Edge 70 Fusion, the dedicated moto AI key is also positioned on the left side of the Edge 70 Pro's mid-frame.
Aside from that, the teaser page also confirms Pantone-validated colour options with three new finishes - tailored fabric, satin luxe and marble.
Motorola Edge 70 Pro Design Leaked
While the Flipkart teaser page does not show the phone's design fully, a recent Motorola Edge 70 Pro design leak gave us a good look at the phone and its multiple colour options. As per that, the phone could launch in as many as six colourways, including a wood-textured variant. However, the microsite in India only mentions three colour options.
Design-wise, the phone is expected to resemble the Edge 70 and Edge 70 Fusion closely since Motorola has been following a consistent design language across its smartphones. The only differentiating factor between the three will be their colour options and choice of back material finishes.
Motorola Edge 70 Pro Specifications (Expected)
While nothing is officially known about the Edge 70 Pro, leaks suggest it will feature a 6.7-inch quad-curved 1.5K pOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate.
For performance, the phone is said to rely on the Dimensity 8350 chipset, paired with up to 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB UFS 4.1 storage. In terms of optics, the phone could sport a 50 MP main rear camera, a telephoto, an ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 50 MP selfie shooter at the front.
Battery-wise, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro is expected to bring a 7,000mAh capacity with 90W fast wired charging. Bonus features could include IP68 + IP69 rating, MIL-STD-810H certification, in-display fingerprint scanner and more.
Motorola Edge 70 Pro Price in India (Expected)
Just the Motorola Edge 60 Pro, the Edge 70 Pro is expected to be a very well-rounded mid-ranger. However, given the current RAM crisis that has plagued the industry, we expect it to launch at an inflated price tag of anywhere between Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000. For reference, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro price in India started at Rs 29,999 and went up to Rs 33,999.
That said, with the brand having started teasing the Motorola Edge 70 Pro India launch, we can expect to see the phone go official in April 2026 itself. That said, stay tuned, as the brand could be sharing more official details in the coming days.
