Summary

  • The Nothing Phone (3) is officially embracing a new Glyph Matrix technology.
  • This new tech replaces the Glyph Interface and sits next to the camera module.

Nothing had already hinted at leaving behind its trusty Glyph Interface in favour of what looked like Dot Matrix-style lighting on the Phone (3). Now, it’s official – the Nothing Phone (3) is making the switch to a new Glyph Matrix technology.

The brand took to its official X (formerly Twitter) account to tease the upcoming device flaunting the new tech. From the looks of it, the brand decided to go a bit more minimalistic with its upcoming "true flagship".

Going by the teaser, instead of how the Glyph Interface was spread out across the entire back panel of the Nothing Phone (1), Phone (2), we now have it sitting in a small space beside the camera module. However, it could simply be a part of the new tech that the brand has teased. Glyph Matrix could still make use of more of the Phone (3)'s back panel. Only time will tell what the brand has up its sleeves.

Apart from this, the brand also confirmed that the Nothing Phone (3) will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. Besides, the Phone (3) will also be Made in India and commit to seven years of software updates

A while ago, Nothing CEO Carl Pei also confirmed the flagship to start from 800 pounds (approximately Rs 92,500). However, that's all that is known about the device at the moment.

Thankfully, with the Nothing Phone (3)'s launch date officially scheduled for July 1, 2025, we won't have to wait a whole lot to know all the details. With that said, we do expect the brand to reveal a couple of other details in the coming days. So, stay tuned.
