Nubia could be working on taking the foldable smartphone game more seriously, as a new leak gives us our first look at the brand's first book-style foldable, the Nubia Fold. Additionally, the brand also appears to be working on the next iteration of its clamshell "Flip" series, the Nubia Flip 3.
Leaked Nubia Fold Design Renders Suggest A Familiar Design
The designs arrive courtesy of Evan Blass and on first glance, the Nubia Fold seems rather familiar. The foldable is seen to feature an outer cover display which opens up to reveal a main internal display, just like other book-style foldables. The back of the phone could sport a very prominent camera bump that appears to house a triple-camera setup.

Besides, the camera module also appears to have a circular LED light alongside a red colour branding. While the image isn't clear, we assume it's the Leica branding, considering the brand's logo is red, and Leica is still a Nubia partner.

Alongside the larger foldable, the leak also shows us a first look at the successor of the Nubia Flip 2 5G, the Nubia Flip 3. The leaked images show the phone in white and black colourways, alongside a substantially large cover display at the front.

The screen wraps around the camera module and has a red accent around it, which could also denote that the cameras are powered by Leica. Besides the prominent main lens, the back also appears to bast a smaller secondary lens.
The power and volume buttons are on the right. Interestingly, the phone appears to have pogo pins on the back near the hinge mechanism. We don't know what they are for as of writing this, but if we had to guess, they could power external accessories like cases.

We aren't aware of the technical specifications of either of these devices, but considering the Flip 2 arrived in January 2025, we expect both the Nubia Fold and Flip 3 to debut in Q1 2026. More information about the devices should be revealed as we leapfrog into the year 2026, so stay tuned.
