Back in July 2026, the Nubia NaviX Ultra was showcased as the world's first true "AI agent smartphone, " which is built around an AI assistant that potentially acts on the user's behalf across the system. Now, the brand is all set to finally launch the Nubia NaviX Ultra in China next week.
Nubia has confirmed that the Nubia NaviX Ultra will launch in China on September 16, 2026, at 14:00 CST (or 11:30 PM IST). The NaviX Ultra has been developed jointly by ZTE and TikTok's parent company, ByteDance.

The phone will feature ByteDance's Doubao Phone AI Assistant, built around four areas of AI agent workload - understanding commands, completing tasks, remembering information and security. Doubao AI is designed to carry out tasks across applications, thus automating the entire smartphone usage experience.
Reports indicate the NaviX Ultra will feature app-provided MCP services, meaning apps will expose their functions directly to the Doubao AI to help them replicate and take charge of APK-level Kernel tasks. The Nubia NaviX Ultra will feature a dedicated orange AI key on the side for triggering Doubao.

Nubia NaviX Ultra Will Be Powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
Aside from being an AI agent smartphone, the Nubia NaviX Ultra will also feature top-of-the-line hardware, making it an Android flagship phone. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and will be paired with CXMT's LPDDR5X RAM, with 10,667 Mbps data speeds.

The display of the Nubia NaviX Ultra will be a 6.78-inch 1.5K flat OLED panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate. The phone will feature a 7,100mAh battery with 90W fast and wireless charging support. Cameras are expected to include a 50 MP main, ultra-wide and telephoto sensors at the back and a 50 MP selfie shooter.
Nubia NaviX Ultra will launch in black, pink, white and blue colour options. The official names for those are not known at the moment. However, we should learn more details when the phone launches next week. So, stay tuned.
