If you are currently on the Galaxy S26 running on One UI 9 beta 4 and were hoping to receive the One UI 9 beta 5 update, there is some disappointing news. Samsung has officially confirmed a short delay for the beta 5 update, which was supposed to go live this week for the Galaxy S26 lineup.
One UI 9 Beta 5 Update for Galaxy S26 Postponed
According to an official post made on the Samsung Community forum in South Korea, the One UI 9 beta 5 update will arrive on the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and the Galaxy S26 Ultra next week.
The team has confirmed that the additional time is being taken to conduct a "final reviews and quality improvements" check to ensure a hiccup-free experience when the fifth One UI 9 beta update drops.

Samsung says that its goal is to deliver a more stable and polished experience to beta testers. However, the update does not contain any news regarding bug fixes or new features that are coming with the One UI 9 beta 5 release.
Even though this is disappointing for fans waiting for the next update, this is fairly standard for a late-stage beta build. OEMs prefer taking additional time to iron out wrinkles before releasing beta versions of their software.
Especially for Samsung, since the stable and final One UI 9 update is expected to be released in the next few months. Hence, when the One UI 9 beta 5 update goes live, it will be available as an over-the-air update in markets like India, the UK, Germany, Poland and South Korea.
