The wait is finally over for OnePlus 12R users. Following its debut on the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 12 series earlier this month, OxygenOS 16 is now officially rolling out to the OnePlus 12R, bringing new features and customisations alongside all the latest Android 16 features.
OnePlus 12R finally gets a taste of Android 16
The update comes after a slight delay, specifically for the OnePlus 12R, following the software's debut last month. It carries version number CPH2585_16.0.0.200(EX01) not only brings OxygenOS 16 but also bumps the Android security level to November 2025.

As for the contents of the update, it brings all the OxygenOS 16 features, including more customisations via Flux Themes 2.0. The themes customisation section offers new clock styles, lock screen layout, dynamic wallpaper and always-on full-screen display. The user interface has been revamped and has elements inspired by Apple's Liquid Glass redesign.
Among other additions is the improvement to Fluid Cloud, which now integrates Android 16 features like Live updates. This means the feature will support more apps as developers integrate the Live updates API into their apps

After the update, Fluid Cloud now supports YouTube Music, Blinkit and other food delivery/commute apps. Although Google Maps is on the list, we couldn't get Live updates working in it on our OnePlus 12R.
The update also adds a dedicated AI section in the settings, consisting of features like Mind Space and options to customise AI tools such as AI writer, AI Translate and AI VoiceScribe. Speaking of which, the update also brings deeper Gemini integration in Mind Space.

OxygenOS 16 for the OnePlus 12R, although labelled "Stable", is currently rolling out in the Beta channel. It's probably to ensure the initial rollout is stable enough for OnePlus to eventually push it to all devices.
You can get the update by going to Settings > System & update > Software update > 3-dots icon > Beta program > Release Candidate, and tapping on Download & install. OxygenOS 16 is already rolling out to the OnePlus Nord 5 series and OnePlus Nord 4. It is expected to roll out to more OxygenOS 16 supported devices in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
