The stable Android 16 update is out for Pixels and a handful of Samsung phones. And like most manufacturers, OnePlus is working on its next iteration of its home-grown OxygenOS based on Android 16. The firm has been testing Android 16 Beta for quite some time on the OnePlus 13, and while the official release date is unknown, here's a list of all the devices that could get OxygenOS 16.
OxygenOS 16 supported devices
While we're unaware of the features OxygenOS 16 will bring to the table, we do know that the OnePlus 13 will be the first OnePlus phone to receive the update. It will be followed by the OnePlus 12 series and the latest Nord series of devices.
OxygenOS 15 brought considerable improvements over OxygenOS 14 in terms of responsiveness, and we expect OxygenOS 16 to improve on many fronts.
OnePlus Phones

Starting with the OnePlus 11, the firm promised four years of major Android updates to its phones. The OnePlus 13R was the first "R" device to be promised the same, but the 11R and 12R will only get three major updates each.
- OnePlus 13
- OnePlus 12
- OnePlus 11
- OnePlus 13R
- OnePlus 12R
- OnePlus 11R
OxygenOS 16 will be the last update for the OnePlus 11R, as it has already received Android 14 and Android 15. Both the OnePlus 11 and 12R will be left with just one more update, as per their update policy.
OnePlus Nord Series

The OnePlus Nord 5 and the Nord 5 CE are expected to be among the first set of Nord devices to get the Android 16-based OxygenOS 16. OnePlus promises four major updates to both Nord 5 and Nord CE 5, but only two years for the Nord CE4.
- OnePlus Nord 5
- OnePlus Nord 4
- OnePlus Nord 3
- OnePlus Nord CE 5
- OnePlus Nord CE 4
- OnePLus Nord CE 4 Lite
Therefore, the Nord 4 and both Nord 5 series of devices are supported for four years from the date of their launch. OxygenOS 16 will be the last update for Nord CE 4 and Nord CE 4 Lite. The same goes for the OnePlus Nord 3, which was promised three years of major updates.
OnePlus Foldable and Tablets

The OnePlus Open is promised four major Android updates, and since it launched with Android 13 out of the box, it's eligible for OxygenOS 16. Besides, a handful of OnePlus tablets are also eligible.
- OnePlus Open
- OnePlus Pad 3
- OnePlus Pad 2
- OnePlus Pad Lite
OnePlus Pad 3 and Pad Lite are the firm's latest offerings in the tablet category. OnePlus has confirmed three major Android updates for both tablets. And those were all the devices that could get OxygenOS 16. The list might look short because many OnePlus devices reached the end-of-life with Android 15 as its final update.
Expected OxygenOS 16 features

Besides Android 16 features that are expected to arrive on most of eligible devices, a recently leaked OxygenOS build has revealed some features that the brand could bring with OxygenOS 16. These include:
- Lock screen widgets might be coming to OxygenOS 16 as they were spotted in a leaked build earlier last month.
- More granular customisation options like seamless AOD transition and new lock screen clock widgets could be added.
- OxygenOS 16 could further polish the app opening and closing animations.
- Advanced Protection mode in Android 16 disables a few Android features that can be exploited by bad actors.
- Search in Photo picker helps you search for photos from your photo library with ease.
- Enhanced Predictive back gestures improve the gesture animations and make them available across more regions of Android.
- Live Updates are similar to iOS’ Live Activities, allowing apps to update notifications live to reflect the status of a ride your food. This could further improve the highly lacking Fluid Cloud feature.
- Material 3 Expressive could modify the look of the UI elements across apps, but the OxygenOS is expected to retain the same appearance.
It's been a while since OnePlus started testing Beta builds of OxygenOS 16 on the OnePlus 13. So, we can expect a stable version of OxygenOS 16 to arrive in the next few months. We could start hearing more about the upcoming features as the update inches closer to release, so stay tuned.
