OnePlus 15 will be the world's first phone to ship with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

OnePlus has already confirmed that the smartphone will draw its power from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. As of now, none of the other brands have launched their version with Qualcomm's latest chip. So, the OnePlus 15 will become the first smartphone to bring the latest and greatest 8 Elite Gen 5 to the table.

Moreover, the smartphone will bring a new P3 display chip which will offer 1 nit of low brightness and will be able to take peak brightness values to as high as 6,000 nits. OnePlus 15's third-gen BOE X3 OLED display is set to offer an 11.8% improvement in colour shift, 30% improvement in panel longevity and an additional 10% power reduction.

Aside from that, OnePlus 15 is also rumoured to bring a 7,300mAh battery capacity with support for 120W fast USB-C charging and 50W wireless charging. Also, a recent OnePlus 15 specifications leak revealed a 50 MP Sony LYT-700 main sensor, a 50 MP 3.5x Samsung JN5 telephoto camera and a 50 MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide angle lens.

As for the OnePlus Ace 6, it is also said to be a flagship offering. However, unlike the 15, the Ace 6 may get the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset instead. It could also pack an impressive 7,800mAh battery along with other upgrades like 120W fast charging, 50 MP cameras and more.

That said, we will know for sure once both phones are officially unveiled. Thankfully, the OnePlus 15 and Ace 6 launch is scheduled to happen in just a few hours time.
