After rolling out stable ColorOS 17 to the OnePlus 15, the brand is now expanding the update to the OnePlus 15R in India. The update arrives ahead of the originally announced ColorOS 17 rollout schedule and brings a refreshed interface, smoother animations, AI-powered features and more.
OnePlus 15R ColorOS 17 Update: What's New?
According to the update details shared for the new software release, the OnePlus 15R is receiving the firmware build CPH2767_17.0.0.106(EX01). ColorOS 17 is based on Android 17 and introduces a redesigned Quick Settings and a revamped notification panel.
It also brings improvements to the Laminar Flow Engine, which aims to reduce lag under heavy workloads and manage background apps more efficiently.
On the AI front, ColorOS 17 features include new capabilities for Mind Space and Mind Pilot. The latter gets an Agent mode that can help users organise photos and files, create collages and handle other tasks with less manual effort.
The update also introduces the OSee feature for document scanning and text extraction, alongside improvements to translation and AI-powered security features. These include AI Face Swap Detection for video calls and enhanced AI Scam Call Detection, which can identify potentially fraudulent calls involving AI-generated voices.
