ColorOS 17 Eligible Devices: List of Oppo, OnePlus and Realme ColorOS 17 Supported Phones

Finding out if your device is eligible for ColorOS 17 is more confusing than ever. Especially since OxygenOS and Realme UI are merging into Oppo's ColorOS. This means this list now covers three brands instead of one. So, here's every ColorOS 17-supported device across Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme, based on official confirmations and the brands' own update policies.

ColorOS 17 Eligible Devices

Oppo officially unveiled ColorOS 17 in China on September 17, 2026, bringing a more translucent design, bouncy effects and new AI features to not just Oppo but also to OnePlus and Realme devices.

That's because on July 16, 2026, OnePlus confirmed it will phase out OxygenOS, and all supported OnePlus phones will receive ColorOS 17 as the major update. At the same time, Realme announced it is also transitioning from Realme UI to ColorOS from now on.

So, here are all the ColorOS 17-eligible Oppo, OnePlus and Realme phones and tablets currently confirmed or expected to receive the update, organised by brand and series.

ColorOS 17 Features

ColorOS 17 was revealed on September 17, 2026, in China. The update is based on Android 17, and it doubles down on the translucent effects added in the ColorOS 16 update, along with other huge changes. Here are some key features coming in the next update.

• Fluid Design Language: ColorOS 17 introduces a new fluid design overhaul, featuring a more transparent UI. The Media Player, Control Centre, Notes, Files Manager, and the lock screen are all getting a frosted-glass treatment with contour glow. ColorOS 17 looks heavily inspired by iOS, with backgrounds and overlays using varying blur levels to add depth across every element.
• More interactive animations: ColorOS 17 uses a new rendering architecture called the Aurora Engine. It adds bouncy animations with squish-and-stretch effects seen across the UI.
• Better resource scheduling: Aurora Engine also cuts down app startup time and runtime memory usage by 25% while a new Tidal Engine handles resource scheduling. This lets apps stay open in the background for longer without impacting overall performance.
• New AI features: ColorOS 17 also expands Oppo's AI feature set, featuring AI portrait fill light, AI office tools and AI inspiration themes. There's a new Xiao Bu space where you can get details about urgent tasks, to-do lists, forgotten reminders and more.
• A circular Control Centre: Rounded-square toggles are being replaced with fully circular controls, alongside redesigned settings and edit buttons and a more rounded media player widget.
• Redesigned system apps: The Phone app gets a new dialler layout and larger call buttons; Notes and Files Manager pick up floating navigation and redesigned context menus. Even the flashlight gets a full-screen interface with drag-to-adjust brightness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my OnePlus phone still get updates if it's not on the ColorOS 17 list?

Yes. OnePlus has confirmed that devices outside the eligible list won't be abandoned; they'll continue receiving bug fixes and security patches on their current OxygenOS build instead of moving to ColorOS.

Do I have to switch to ColorOS 17 if my OnePlus phone is eligible?

No, at least initially. OnePlus has said the switch will be opt-in for existing users, with a rollback window to return to OxygenOS if you change your mind, though the exact rollback terms haven't been detailed yet.

When will OnePlus 12 and Nord phones receive the OxygenOS 16.1 update?

The OxygenOS 16.1 or 16.0.8 and higher versions won't come to the OnePlus 11, OnePlus 12 and Nord phones in Android 16, and those features are rumoured to arrive with the ColorOS 17 update.

Does the OxygenOS to ColorOS switch affect warranty or after-sales service?

No. OnePlus has specifically confirmed that the transition won't affect update commitments, update quality, warranty coverage, or after-sales service.

When will older Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme phones actually get ColorOS 17?

It depends on the tier. Flagships are expected to get the stable update around October 2026, with Reno, F, and K series phones following through Q4 2026, and lower-tier or older devices potentially not seeing it until early 2027.

So this wraps up our list of all the ColorOS 17 eligible devices. I will keep updating the guide as more details and announcements surface online.
