Summary

  • Indian variant of the Oppo Reno 15 is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset.
  • The battery size of the Indian unit is also said to have been bumped up from 6,200mAh to 6,500mAh.
  • The Oppo Reno 15 is said to be priced around Rs 43,000 and launch in India sometime in February 2026.

The Oppo Reno 15 series is undoubtedly the brand's next big thing and all eyes are on the China launch set for next week. Now, a new report suggests that the Reno 15 will see a hardware refresh in the global and Indian markets.

Oppo Reno 15 to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in India

Industry insider Yogesh Brar and tech publication Smartprix have collaborated to reveal that Oppo is planning a modification for the global and Indian Reno 15 variant. While the processing power will see a downgrade, the battery capacity will be increased.

However, the key difference will be in the processing power of the two variants, with the China variant using the Dimensity 8450 and the Indian variant being powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.

Other leaked specs include a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Oppo Reno 15 is also said to offer a triple rear camera setup that's very similar to its predecessor, the Reno 14. Going by that, we can expect the phone to offer a 50 MP main shooter, an 8 MP ultrawide and a 50 MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. At the front, the phone could retain the 50 MP selfie shooter as well.

Additionally, the battery capacity of the Reno 15 could see a bump up to 6,500mAh, as per the latest report. That's more than the expected 6,200mAh capacity of the global variant. It's also said to come with 80W fast charging support. Rounding off the package, the phone is expected to feature Wi-Fi 7, NFC and ColorOS 16 features out of the box.

The Oppo Reno 15 launch date in China has been scheduled for November 17, 2025. Meanwhile, the Indian and global variant is expected to launch by February 2026. According to the report, the Reno 15 price in India could be set at around Rs 43,000, which is rather expensive if you ask us.

The brand has already confirmed the Oppo Reno 15 colours and we also know it will arrive with up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage. As for the other details, fortunately, the official launch is almost here and we'll certainly have a lot more clarity after that.
