The Oppo Reno 16 series China launch happened last month and details about the lineup's global and India launch are already circulating online. While official launch details are awaited from the brand, leaks and rumours have already revealed much. The latest one gives us a glimpse into the standard Reno 16's performance for markets like India.
Oppo Reno 16 Geekbench Listing Reveals Key Specs
Spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, the standard Oppo Reno 16 has now managed to make an appearance on the Geekbench 6.6.0 benchmarking platform with the OPPO CPH2865 model number, indicating global/ Indian unit (for reference, the China-only Reno 16 carries the OPPO PMM110 SKU).
It has managed to score 1,240 points in the single-core test, while racking up 3,994 points in the multi-core test. The test unit used, bears 12 GB of RAM and is running on Android 16, presumably ColorOS 16.
Processor-wise, the listing mentions an octa-core chipset with 3 cores clocked at 1.84 GHz, 4 cores clocked at 2.40 GHz and 1 core clocked at 2.80 GHz. Given how familiar the 3 + 4 + 1 CPU architecture is, the hints strongly suggest we are looking at the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset from Qualcomm.
This falls in line with recent Oppo Reno 16 series design and specs leak which revealed that the standard Reno 16 for markets like India will arrive with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset instead of the Dimensity 8550 Super SoC found inside the Chinese unit.
This swap on paper, hints at a downgraded experience since the Reno 16 China model managed to score 1,611 points and 6,402 points in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively. Moreover, if the other leaks are true, the Reno 16 in China will be a different Reno 16 for India and global markets. This is the same strategy that Oppo took with the Reno 15 series.
The global and Indian variant is tipped to get a 6.32-inch 120 Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, same as the Chinese unit. However, it is said to get a smaller 6,000mAh battery compared to the 6.700mAh unit inside the Chinese model. Charging is said to stay the same at 80W.
The camera department is also said to be different where the 200 MP main camera is reportedly getting swapped with a 50 MP unit. It will only retain the 50 MP ultra-wide and 50 MP periscope lenses. Rest, it is expected to bring an aluminium frame, in-display fingerprint scanner and IP69 rating.
That said, at the time of writing, Oppo has neither confirmed the Reno series launch in India nor for global markets. It is said to launch four devices in India, including the Oppo Reno 16C, Reno 16 Pro and the Reno 16 Pro Mini. With an expected July 2026 launch window, we will have to wait and see when teasers begin. So, stay tuned.
