The ongoing RAM crisis continues to cripple the smartphone market, as Oppo announces another round of price hikes for the Reno 16, Reno 16c, A6s, and A6x devices by up to Rs 5,000 in India.
Oppo Reno Series Receives Another Major Price Hike in India
This detail comes from trusted leaker @saaaanjjjuuu, who shared a post on X detailing the new prices of the Oppo phones effective August 18, 2026. We have also independently verified these prices on the official Oppo website and Flipkart.
With the updated pricing, the Oppo Reno 16 now starts at Rs 66,999 for the base 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant. This is a jump of Rs 5,000 from its previous starting price of Rs 61,999, reflecting the brutal effects of the memory shortage on the smartphone industry.
Meanwhile, the Reno 16c is now available for Rs 49,999 for the 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage option. This is an increase of Rs 3,000 over the previous base price of Rs 46,999. The higher 256 GB variant has shot up to Rs 53,999, which is a Rs 4,000 hike from the older price of Rs 49,999.
Similarly, the Oppo A6s 5G now starts at Rs 24,999 with a Rs 2,000 price hike for the base 4+128 GB variant and Rs 3,000 for the 6+128 GB option. The cheaper Oppo A6x 5G has gone up by Rs 1,000 in price, starting at Rs 18,999 for the base 4+128 GB and Rs 21,999 for the 6+128 GB option, respectively.
