Back in May 2026, the Oppo Reno 16 series launched in China, comprising the standard Reno 16 and the Reno 16 Pro. Now, the brand has added a third member to the family with the Oppo Reno 16t, which is surprisingly similar to the already available Reno 16.
Oppo Reno 16t Specifications and Features
On paper, the Oppo Reno 16t is identical to the Oppo Reno 16 (Chinese variant and not the Indian one). Both have the same 6.32-inch 1.5K 120 Hz 10-bit LTPS AMOLED display, with a 240 Hz Touch Sampling Rate and up to 3,600 nits of peak brightness. Both panels are protected by Oppo Crystal Shield Glass.
Even in terms of design, the Oppo Reno 16t brings the exact cold-carved back glass panel with holographic lithography. The back is paired with a brushed aluminium frame featuring the power and volume buttons on the right and the AI Snap Key on the left.
In terms of performance, both the Oppo phones are fitted with the Dimensity 8550 Super (the same as the standard Dimensity 8500 chipset) and are paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The Oppo Reno 16t gets only up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage compared to the 1 TB version of the Reno 16. Software-wise, the Reno 16t runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, instead of the new ColorOS 17 update.
In terms of cameras, the Reno 16t gets the same 200 MP Samsung HP5 main sensor as the Reno 16. It is paired with a 50 MP ultra-wide lens and a 50 MP Samsung JN5 3.5x periscope telephoto camera. Selfies rely on a 50 MP sensor.
In terms of battery, both the Oppo Reno 16t and the Reno 16 feature a 6,700mAh cell capacity with support for 80W fast charging. Besides, the phone also gets IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings, an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, dual 5G SIMs and a USB-C port.

Oppo Reno 16t Pricing and Availability
The Oppo Reno 16t starts in China from 3,699 Chinese yuan (approx. Rs 53,000) for the 12 GB + 256 GB model and also comes in a 16 GB + 512 GB option. This makes the Reno 16t 200 Chinese yuan (approx. Rs 3,000) more expensive than the Reno 16.
Oppo Reno 16t is an offline-centric phone and hence is not available to purchase via the Oppo e-store in China. The smartphone comes in Pinellia, Heartbeat, Galaxy Purple and Moonlight Black colour options.
