Rambler and Writing Tools are currently exclusive to the Google Pixel 11 series. That changes today, as a developer has released a custom PixelBoard modification that ports Rambler and Writing Tools V2 to almost any Android smartphone.
Pixel's Rambler Feature Arrives on All Android Phones
The developer AkshayyKadam took to Reddit to post about PixelBoard. The app brings modifications to native toggles to force AI tools and advanced voice typing from Pixel 11 on unsupported devices.

The app is not a separate keyboard app but functions as a standalone application that coexists with Gboard on users' phones. It enables Pixel 11's Rambler on all Android phones without root or even superuser permissions.
For those unaware, Rambler improves dictation by automatically filtering out stuttering and filler words while accurately fixing self-revisions on the fly.

Additionally, the newly-released stable 18.4.1 version introduces major quality-of-life enhancements. Starting with users can now toggle features like the AI Writing Tools or switch back-end inference pipelines without manually force-stopping the keyboard.
The application also offers a device-gated backend selector, letting users force on-device AICore processing or rely on Google's cloud server inference. The developer says he has also optimised the app for stability, fixing battery drain issues and patching a CPU-intensive offline language pack download loop.
Users who are interested in trying out Rambler on their Android phone can download the APK directly from the PixelBoard's GitHub repository. They can then enable "Unknown Sources" in the browser and install it as a regular APK.
Once installed, all they need to do is enable the PixeBoard toggle in Input settings. Once done, they should now see a microphone icon with a little spark logo, suggesting Rambler is now ready to be used.
In the brief moment we tested it out, the feature worked incredibly well and fast across apps. However, we couldn't test out Writing Tools V2 as it's Pixel 8 Pro and 9 series exclusive due to AICore and hardware requirements.
