Poco's next "F" series has already been doing rounds in the rumour mill for the longest time. The F8 series has already surfaced online multiple times with several details. Now, the official launch date confirmation of the smartphones just went live.

Poco's F8 series is breaking cover next week

The official Poco Global X handle has confirmed that the Poco F8 series will go official on November 26, 2025. The lineup will launch globally, starting with Indonesia. Poco is hosting a dedicated launch event in Bali to debut the next flagship lineup. Moreover, Poco has confirmed its partnership with Bose for 'Sound by Bose' acoustics.

This has indirectly confirmed our early suspicion that the Poco F8 series will be a rebranded Redmi K90 series which went official in China a few weeks back. The lineup brought the Redmi K90 and the Redmi K90 Pro Max.

Now, at the time of writing, it is not exactly clear which smartphones will go official next week. The current rumour mill hints at the standard F8, F8 Pro and the F8 Ultra. If we are to go by the past launch trend, we can expect the Poco F8 Pro and the Poco F8 Ultra to go official first, followed by the standard F8's launch by early 2026.

This means that the Poco F8 Pro will be a rebranded Redmi K90, while the Poco F8 Ultra will mimic the Redmi K90 Pro Max. It makes sense since the recent Poco F8 Pro Geekbench listing revealed the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, while the Poco F8 Ultra Geekbench leak hinted at the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC.

Moreover, the F8 Ultra will likely bring the physical oversized Bose-tuned woofer just like the K90 Pro Max. However, if we go by the Poco F8 series battery leak, which surfaced a few weeks back, the upcoming phones will not be an exact rebrand of the Redmi ones.

For instance, instead of the 7,100mAh battery inside the K90, the F8 Pro is said to bring a reduced 6,500mAh capacity. Similarly, the F8 Ultra is also said to bring a 7,100mAh capacity instead of the Pro Max's 7,560mAh cell.

As for the other key specs, both smartphones will likely sport a 2K 120 Hz 12-bit OLED panel, Android 16-based HyperOS 3 update, 50 MP main camera, IP68 rating and more.

That said, with the official launch date out, expect to see more official teasers and updates dropping soon, leading to the announcement date. We will make sure to report on the latest updates on the upcoming Poco F8 series.
