Poco is reportedly prepping to add a third member to the "Poco X8" family as the standard Poco X8 has emerged online via multiple certifications websites. The brand has already launched the Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max in markets like India. Now, its time for the vanilla Poco X8 to make its debut.
Poco X8 Bags NBTC and IMDA Certifications
As reported by the publication Android Treasure, the regular Poco X8 has made an appearance online via the NBTC certification website in Thailand and the IMDA listing platform in Singapore. The phone carries the POCO - 2607DPC18G model number and the NBTC website even names the smartphone.

This is an unofficial indication that the Poco X8 will launch in Thailand and Malaysia. Since the last-gen Poco X7 is also available in those markets, it makes sense for the brand to launch the Poco X8 in the same regions.
While there is no word regarding the smartphone's launch in India, we expect the Poco X8 to eventually arrive in the country since the Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max are already available here. Moreover, the standard Poco X7 launched in India last year, thereby inciting more confidence.

Poco X8 Specifications and Features (Leaked)
While the NBTC and IMDA websites confirm the Poco X8's existence and reveal key launch markets, they don't give any indication of what the phone will offer. However, thanks to leaks online, we know that the Poco X8 is likely to be a rebranded Redmi Note 17 Pro.
X user @kacskrz revealed strings of data a few days back, revealing Xiaomi's rebranding strategy for the Poco X8. He further revealed that the Poco X8 will have the same 50 MP main + 2 MP depth rear camera setup as the Poco X8 Pro.
Alternatively, several reports online mention that the Poco X8 will feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120 Hz OLED display, the same as the Note 17 Pro. The phone could also launch with the exact Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and 9,000mAh battery, found inside the Redmi sibling.
That said, Poco has not confirmed the existence of the Poco X8 and there is no indication of when the phone will launch. We can expect a Q3 2026 end-of-quarter launch timeline and more details should surface in the coming months. So, stay tuned.
